David Hicks | Travel Photography
Welcome to my view of the world. When I travel I regard myself as an outsider looking in and trying to understand and ask questions of my new environment. I don't pretend I'm part of it and I think that puts me in a good position to stand back and shoot what I find curious, but sometimes strangley familiar too.
In my photographs there are many people just being people, often not knowing I'm there with
my camera, and that's the way I like it. I like to capture people interacting with their environment. I like to reflect the society and history of the country I'm in, and take joy
in the similarities and differences of people around the world. It's important to me to capture and reflect the mood and the feeling of the place I'm in. I am reflecting the curious details that make up this planet and the humans that inhabit it.
There's no adverts or selling, so if you'd like to be on my update list please sign up. It's free and there's no hassle.
Then there's PEEP. This is my art, and what I do when I'm not travelling.
Thanks for looking.
