Easy going, soon to be cosmopolitan city, with small Medieval centre and Jewish quarter. However, once you get out of the centre, I was disturbed to see many people, usually older, trying to sell their belongings to get by. Very sad. I know you could argue that it's the cost of change, but to see people swallowing their dignity to sell their shoes can't be right, at least in Western society.

Apart from that, it's a pleasent place to wander for a couple of days, and for us, cheaper than most European cities.
