Nepal

I just love this country. It’s a special place with a special energy. Despite it being the 5th poorest country in the world, the people are really friendly, and appear to be happy. Ok there’s a civil war there right now, but it’s hard to believe having met the locals.

*I've just been on my 2nd trip to Kathmandu, and been caught up in riots, strikes and curfews. It's still a magical place, and I never felt in danger, and things are getting better there all the time.
